Okay so I've been dieting and exercising but I've had some real issues with the whole 'junk food in moderation' thing. I know that it's simple- eat healthy most of the time and treat yourself occasionally. The problem with me is junk food is an addiction for me. The cravings hit and I CAN'T get it off my mind, I get irritable and impatient and it's always the 'just this once' but it happens EVERYDAY, and I over do it too and eat way too much. It's just like when you quit smoking, you cant just have a smoke a few times a week, then the cravings never go away. Is that like junk food? Should I cut it out until I don't extremely crave it and think about it constantly? Or would that be 'depriving myself' and wouldn't work? hi, i have managed to lose 3.5 stone in the last couple of years and have now regulated at 9.12stone... i dont diet anymore i just balance it out and have a bit of what i like in moderations... even though im losing weight i am noticing fat collecting around my stomach, thighs and bottom and alot even though i do walk to and from the station, i dont go to the gym however... hate gyms! i just wondered how to stop the weight collecting on the bottom half of my body as the top half seems to lose it... my chest is getting smaller and smaller and top part of body kind of skinny then the bottom half is filling out - not good.... what to do - also i generally eat around 1,500-1,700 calories a day just what im comfortable with etc; but yesterday i actually had a bad day and had around 2,700 calories :( - we all have days like that but i wanted to know can you put weight on like that even if i keep the calories to 1,500 most days, but say two out of seven i go up to 2,000 or over, will you gain weight that way??

Muscles (or lack of them) question!?

I work out every other day, follow the principles of training (specificity, overload, progression, moderation, reversibility etc) with heavy weights but just right to do my sets which are 10 reps 3 sets per exercise. I went on a diet for about 5 months and was pretty good about it, and successfully lost 8 pounds, and I'd like to maintain my weight! (16 year old female, 5' 5", 112 pounds) Ive always been disciplined around food, with the occasional binge but I never really minded, but now ever since school ended and I have a lot of free time.. Why is the preview for my video in Windows Movie Maker Completely black?

I installed the Divx codec and the Xvid codec and I am able to view the video in both Windows Media Player and Windows Movie Maker if I click on the clip and preview it but if I drag it on to the time line on Windows Movie Maker and preview it on the time line it doesn't play. My junior year of high school I started to become very self conscious about my body. I wasn't fat - I was about 5' 6'' and weighed probably around 134. I would eat 1200 calories each day and ride my recumbent bike an hour each day too. I lost quite a bit of fat and weight (I think I got down to 126 lbs) but was not toned and still was flabby. Then I ran cross country to maintain the fat loss and started to become more relaxed on what I ate because my coaches told the team to make sure we ate a lot. So when cross country was over, I had gained back some fat and was injured from running too much. While I was in my boot and on crutches I got into lifting. Once I finally was allowed to run again (not on hard pavement and not very long) I lifted 4-5 times each week and ran 2 times doing sprints on a treadmill. Eating wise at that point I was eating probably 1400-1500 calories each day but bingeing became a serious problem. Now, I am trying not to be overly obsessed with calories but I find myself whipping out my calculator on my phone a lot to calculate my daily intake. I binge practically any time my family is out of the house and eat very healthy when they're around. I can't stop myself anymore and I beat myself up mentally after doing it. While I'm eating the usually "forbidden" foods I think about how I'm pretty skinny and promise myself that this won't happen for at least another week but then a few days after eating really healthy I go back into the same loop. I'm sick of this. I see all of these skinny girls who can eat anything they want and then see myself constantly worrying about what I eat, what I do. I don't go out for ice cream with my friends because I don't order anything and then they might think I'm weird for not getting anything and then I'm at home alone the next day and I eat a large portion of the ice cream in the container in the freezer. My parents don't know I binge a lot. They think I eat super healthy all the time. I seriously don't know what to do. All I want is to get the body I want without having to give up all of the treats I love. I've read countless books on how to do enjoy treats in moderation but in the end I'm back to where I have been for a few months: hiding my bingeing and eating really healthy otherwise.

If something is really important to you, you will find the time for it. Since you like partying, you will find the time to do so.

Make sure you go to open meetings. Closed are usually more by the book. Nothing in that big book says alcohol is the enemy. It's a symptom. Stop drinking and your problems are still there. Aa teaches those of us who want to change a way of living a quality life. It's a lot of work, but it does work for some of us. If you have to go and don't agree with it, I suggest you show up shut up and listen. "fake it till you make" it is one of our slogans.show some respect for those who do need those meetings...

Becks is good. Best of all, probably, are certain craft beers, like Hefeweizen, that retain yeast-sediment in the bottle (even though these are wheat beers, not malt... but wheat is good for you too). Remember that the Egyptians built pyramids on a diet of beer and onions, and beer was the principle hydrating beverage for the European lower-middle classes before the mid-19th century (since available water,- especially stored water- was generally recognized to be unhealthy, as it of course was, thanks to the abundant malicious microbes).

About 5 months ago I seriously cut down on carbs and starches to loose some weight and get back to a healthy lifestyle. I used to eat lots of white rice, potatoes etc.... The past two weeks however I got married and went on my honeymoon where I splurged and let myself eat what I wanted to, although with moderation. During one particular meal I ate 1 1/2 potato skins. Not to be too gross, but I was bloated, aching and gassy for two days, it was crazy! During the trip I also ate more sugar than I was used to, I ate bread and white rice....but nothing else made me feel bad, it was solely the potatoes. I know this because it happened at Easter as well when I ate a few scalloped potatoes, the pain was just not as bad. Anyway, I am trying to figure out if I have developed an allergy to them or if by cutting them out for so long my body doesn't like processing them anymore. How to fix what I think may be an eating disorder?

My junior year of high school I started to become very self conscious about my body. I wasn't fat - I was about 5' 6'' and weighed probably around 134. I would eat 1200 calories each day and ride my recumbent bike an hour each day too. I lost quite a bit of fat and weight (I think I got down to 126 lbs) but was not toned and still was flabby. Then I ran cross country to maintain the fat loss and started to become more relaxed on what I ate because my coaches told the team to make sure we ate a lot. So when cross country was over, I had gained back some fat and was injured from running too much. While I was in my boot and on crutches I got into lifting. Once I finally was allowed to run again (not on hard pavement and not very long) I lifted 4-5 times each week and ran 2 times doing sprints on a treadmill. Eating wise at that point I was eating probably 1400-1500 calories each day but bingeing became a serious problem. Now, I am trying not to be overly obsessed with calories but I find myself whipping out my calculator on my phone a lot to calculate my daily intake. I binge practically any time my family is out of the house and eat very healthy when they're around. I can't stop myself anymore and I beat myself up mentally after doing it. While I'm eating the usually "forbidden" foods I think about how I'm pretty skinny and promise myself that this won't happen for at least another week but then a few days after eating really healthy I go back into the same loop. I'm sick of this. I see all of these skinny girls who can eat anything they want and then see myself constantly worrying about what I eat, what I do. I don't go out for ice cream with my friends because I don't order anything and then they might think I'm weird for not getting anything and then I'm at home alone the next day and I eat a large portion of the ice cream in the container in the freezer. My parents don't know I binge a lot. They think I eat super healthy all the time. I seriously don't know what to do. All I want is to get the body I want without having to give up all of the treats I love. I've read countless books on how to do enjoy treats in moderation but in the end I'm back to where I have been for a few months: hiding my bingeing and eating really healthy otherwise.

If you want to, there ARE several books in the library in how to make cheese, and some probably include low-fat cheese. They are in the mid-600s in the Dewey System. The cookbooks are in 641 and I think cheeses are before that.

Thoughts about Scream 4. Possibly spoilers*?

OMG. Where to even start with this movie. I've always been obsessed with all the Screams. (not preferably 3) This one had its ups and downs in my opinion. To start off, half the scenes that were in the previews and trailers were not even in the movie. whats up with that? Also, I loved Kirby. I wanted her to stick around. Let me also say i was disappointed that Gale is not a journalist/writer/news person any more. It's like what has she been doing lately sitting home and knitting? One of my fav. parts of Scream was watching Dewey and Gales tension with each other and in scream 4 he just kept pushing her away.. :( They had such strong connections in the previous screams when they would help Sydney and work with each other as a team. I really missed there sexual tension the most! There married, it should have been so cute between them, and more tragic when Gale got stabbed. Also, Dewey had like no faith in her the entire time, when has that ever happened? ugh! One thing i do love and can give kudos to is the main actors, Dewey,Gale, and Syd. They are so passionate about scream they make it seem real. There acting is phenomenal together even with the 10 year separation. Im glad that Syd finally grew up and seemed to move on more, instead of the poor poor me act. I mean i knew she lost her mom and all this stuff that happened to her is hard but i loved seeing her as a strong mature women confident in herself. I did not seem right to me..having her cousin be the killer.. how fudged up can one family be..really. haha. I heard some thoughts from scream 4 saying that Gale should get killed off. Helll no! Gale is like, my favorite person on Scream. with her personality. She makes it awesome. Kill off Gale, and im out. plus, if syd does end up dying (major tragic ending) she better go down with some sick, crazy, twisted **** after all shes fought threw. I just expected more connection between my 2 personal favorite characters Dewey and Gale and better murders. Its been 10 years, i think they could have added more, made it bigger, went into it with a bang. I think i liked screams 1,2,3 because they were classic. They were the best. No one could compare to scream. It was original. Scream 4 was a mix between trying to keep there originality with a twist of present-ness but i dont think it worked as well as it was thought to be. I guess i just expected more. ON THE UP-SIDE. I did enjoy the movie, seeing them all together again, i so hope there is a 5 (with more connections, sexual tension) The hole Jill thing made no sense to me. I feel like she seemed so innocent and everything, with the other ones we could at least tell the killers were pretty syco but she seemed like a victim, complaining and such and then BAM out of no where shes killing her ex and freaking out and going crazy. WTF? i mean i guess its good for a crazy random surprise but i seemed kind of corny. Keeping it in the fam i guess?? WELL IDK. im all over the place with my thoughts on this. i do want to point out i did like it, just expected more for a 10 year wait i guess. TELL ME YOUR THOUGHTS PLEASE!! :)

My body and legs are REALLY skinny I have fast metabolism it's just that my fat goes to my face. Help! They think im gay...and im not?

I am the girliest boy at OLA! Will Smoking 3 Cigarettes A Day Effect My Running Capabilities?

I'm a 15 year old male, I got my heart broken a little while back and have been in a state of constant depression ever since, because I love my ex-girlfriend. I started smoking less than a week ago, because I need something to help me deal with the stress. I smoke about 3 cigarettes a day, I've only smoked 8 cigarettes total. I don't have much upper-body strength, but I have very strong legs, I run faster and longer than any of my friends, and I take great pride in this. Today, I tried to do some running, and it seems that I can't run nearly as fast or as long as I could not even a week ago. Could the cigarettes have caused this already? I plan on joining track next year, if I continue to smoke in moderation, and do a lot of running in order to stay physically fit, then would I be able to smoke and run like I used to, or will the cigarettes inevitably keep me from running like I used to? If I stop smoking now, will I still be able to run like I used to, or has the damage been done? Thank you for any help that you may have to offer me.

Suddenly i just dont have strength to exercise!?

I have been religiously eating healthy for past five months and lost 34kg aswell. First i wast on a low carb diet but now since last week i am eating normal food but in moderation. I used to work out around 90 minutes a day which included 70 minutes jogging, 150 situps, 80 pushups and 100 bicep curls. But suddenly now i just dont have the strength to exercise, i run for 20 minutes and get headache, abnormal heartbeat and get out of breath. I am so stressed that i will get fat again because i m not able to exercise. Also, i havent eaten any junk food or fast food since 5 months now because i just dont like these two for some reason. I also try to avoid white rice but eat it occasionally. I eat complex carbs like wholemeal, wholewheat and fruits. Please help me and just to make it clear i am sleeping well. I am still abit overweight. Also, i get bad headaches when i wake and get out of bed or when i standup after sitting on a sofa for hours. I was previously drinking 4 litres of water a day but now i am down to 2.5 litres. I am always feeling weak and i find it hard to understand things. Please help me ! :(.

I used to watch an american t.v program and I cannot remember what it was. It was about an american family, full of foster (or adopted) children. There was the Mum, Dad and Grandad and I don't remember how many children. I do remember one of the characters being called Cray, because when he was going to meet his real parents he worried that their surname would be Ola (then he would be called Cray Ola- haha). I also remember that the mother of the family got pregnant, and the children were worried that she wouldn't love them as much (but that was obviously resolved by the end of the episode). It was a comedy sitcom I'm sure. Some of the family were in the high end of their teens, and I think they hung out at some bar/cafe/club or something. There was an episode were they took pictures for a calender and the older boy didn't get to be the date he expected or something like that. There was also one were the Dad did a fire drill when they were all trying to sleep, I don't remember why. I don't remember a lot about it, but it's been wrecking my head for ages. Why are teens and young adults becoming more unscrupulous?

Glamorization of this type of behavior in the media unfortunately dictates how society molds. Just look at any of the reality shows or at what passes for news or fame these days. Also, all these social networking sites are feeding into instant graftication and narcissism. For example, it's creating a bunch of "me!"s that believe the world owes THEM a break in world and needs to see THEIR talent. My hope for society to change toward a better path is better parenting, etiquette classes, demonization in the media of negative acts and poor manners, and clear rewards of appropriate behavior.

Every day i look into the mirror and i'm so upset. I'm a 14 year old, 5"8 female and i weigh 76 kilos. I'm overweight, and i walk (because of school between classes) everyday. WMM problem: clips freezing?

Okay, let's start from the very beginning. I downloaded a few short movies from YouTube and I put them into WMM in the .mpg format, but also in the .avi format, just in case. I just needed about 10 seconds of all of the videos I uploaded, but whenever I would put that small clip in the timeline and pressed 'play' on the preview of the video, the clip would freeze for 4-5 seconds (image AND sound). I tried trimming the clips, but nothing happened, the clips would still freeze whenever I played them. I tried downloading the videos again, but the same thing happened. I know it's a lame program, but I really have to get this done in WMM. Please, help!

I used to be able to add a watermark to a document but now that has changed doing exactly as I had before. It does show up in the main document I am working on but does not print and is not displayed when I go to 'print preview'. Two different .mp3 file icons on Mac ?

u have downloaded some songs all 4 in .mp3 extension and all playable in itunes although 2 have album artwork/black box as icon (which allow you to click the icon to play without opening itunes) and the other two have a classic white paper with mp3 logo in them which dont allow preview.as their both the same file type converting the mp3 to mp3 wouldnt do anything,btw this is because the 2 with artwork play on my blackberry wereas the two without dont ?

Printer is printing very small. help?

Not only is the font to the printer very small, the pages are coming out and taking about 1/4 of the page. I tried as much as i could to get it to fit the full page. When i go to print preview, it allows you to adjust the sizes (shrink to fit), but mine only allows you to adjust it to 1/4 of the page. For example if i go to 80% or even 150%, it will take only 1/4 of the page. The font size changes but not the space it takes up. Please help.

Do you read the ingredients on food before you buy it?

I have a two year old daughter and I would never give her a pill without knowing what it was, so I feel like it should be the same with food. If I read the ingredients and it has a lot of things in it that aren't healthy or I don't know what they are then I won't buy it. I always compare the nutrition facts of different brands before selecting my choice. I'm not super anal about it I'll by junk food sometimes but I think it should only be eaten in moderation. Since I've been pregnant I've been having a hard time running errands so I've been sending my husband. I notice that he just grabs what ever's on the list without looking at the ingredients, price or expiration date. I try to tell him about how I feel but all he does is yell at me and say he doesn't care. Am I being to strict? Windows Live Movie Maker - YouTube?

So im just adding a simple first youtube video for my channel which I made on Windows Live Movie Maker (It's a short video 50 sec.) Anyways when I try to upload it on YouTube it uploads just fine, but when it get's to the point of processing it never works. Under the preview (which is just grey squares) it says "processing 100%-processing complete. But the preview hasnt loaded I have been waiting for it to load for about 2 hours. When I click the upload details it stats: "We did not reconize the container format for this file", "We did not reconize the video condec format for this file", and "We did not reconize the audio condec format for this file" I don't know what this means because im not very good with computers but please help and tell me how to upload step by step, or am I doing everything right and YouTube is just this slow?

Why do Americans think Alcohol is evil?

It is called MODERATION. In the UK we have a few dumb kids but we have lower rates of crime and wrecks. Hell in Germany there is a borderline care free thing about alcohol. And they have no problems. In the States you have a problem with a low drinking age. Yes being a drunk is bad but if you were to teach your kids that moderation it is okay and has health benefits and lower the drinking age you would see less crime and just a better country. Overall I think you guys need to loosen the laws and see what happens. It works here....

I am in my mid 20's a size 8 (uk) and live a fairly healthy lifestyle. I run 5k a few times a week and I eat kind of well (I have a bit of a sweet tooth, but I eat in moderation) But I have really bad cellulite on my thights, particularly above me knees.
