How would you interpret this letter from a man? (please read)?

You're not falling for him. You probably are just lonely and his kind words are stroking your ego. This guy has plenty of problems; he is still married, he has a young child and he is talking about reconciling with her for the child. That is one of the few good points I see about him, wanting to take care of "his" child. Distance is a real problem with relationships and is very hard to overcome in the long term. Your age gives you lots of time to make mistakes, but really, wouldn't you rather make them with someone who is nearby? I'm sure he is lonely too, and having a friend is good, but please don't put your life on hold for him, continue to date. Encourage him to do the right thing for his child. Consider if you would want to raise someone elses' kid? You should look for men in places that you also have interest in, that will help you find someone like yourself and better your odds of success in finding the "right" one.
